The Starship landed with a shaky jolt.
Up held his communication device. “What’s happened?”
“I don’t know, sir,” the captain said, his voice gravelly with static. “Our fuel supply dropped as we were about to enter Qo’noS’ atmosphere. We’ve landed on its moon, Praxis, instead. I’m really not sure what’s wrong with the Starship, but we’ll try to get it fixed as quickly as we can.”
“So what’s the plan now?”
“We’ll send pods down. I think that the smaller ships are a better idea. They’re harder to see, and we don’t want the robots to know we’re coming.”
“Roger that,” Up said, “I’ll tell the troops.”
“What’s going on?” Taz asked, looking worried.
“You’ll find out soon,” Up said, before yelling “Attention!”
The Rangers all became quiet and paid attention to their commander.
“New plan!” Up barked. “We’re going in separate pods, and we’ll land in one of Praxis’s caves. From there, we’ll prepare our attack. We can’t wait too long though, because the robots may find us. Now, everybody go!”
Up and Taz stood next to each other in the drop pod, but they were silent. Up wanted to say something, but he knew that Taz liked to concentrate before missions, and he didn’t want to distract her. He liked Taz’s seriousness, and her devotion to the Rangers.
The drop pods went through Qo’noS’s atmosphere, and Up signaled the coordinates of the cave they were to land in. It was a good half-hour by foot away from the city, and since the robots didn’t know they were coming, they would be safe. As the Rangers walked off of the ship, Up shook his head, and ended the silence.
“You know, I still can’t believe that the Klingons are letting the robots hide here,” Up told Taz quietly. “This whole ‘neutral’ business is pretty one sided.”
“Si,” Taz agreed, “I’m going to go check out this cave, make sure it is safe.”
Up took Taz’s hand. “Be careful.”
Taz held her zapper and set it to ‘Pew’. “Always am,” she said as she walked away.
